Sometimes there may be a recipe in our meal plan that almost works for you. Perhaps you need to switch out an ingredient, like subbing chicken breast for pork, or maybe you want to remove the peppers from the recipe.
Instead of having to remove that recipe completely or create your own new recipe from scratch, you can clone that recipe and edit it.
For example, if you want to make the Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potatoes with barbecue sauce instead of buffalo sauce, here is what you would do.
- Go to Recipes and find the recipe you would like to clone and edit. Or click on it from the weekly meal plan.
- Click on the title of the recipe, i.e. Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potatoes
- Adjust the recipe as you would like including changing the title, changing ingredients, and updating directions.
- Save the changes.
Once the changes are saved, we will moderate that recipe to make sure all the items will show up in your shopping list. Then you will get an email once it is ready.
Then the recipe will be available in your Custom Recipes.
Please note: The default name of the recipe will be Recipe Name - Your Name. For example, Barbecue Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potatoes - Charlie Memun.
